Managing Director

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILTIES:

(a) In charge of general management of the Company in alignment with the Company’s strategic objectives.

(b) Design strategic plan and set goals for the development and growth of the Company.

(c) Supervise the operation of the Company’s offshore drilling rigs efficiently and effectively.

(d) Act as the principal liaison between the Company and its Vietnam-based parent company, including regular coordination with Group management and relevant functional teams on strategy, operations, rig deployment, budgets, business development, HSE matters, corporate approvals and reporting.

(e) Engage with clients/stakeholders (including but not limited to national oil companies and regulators) on a regular basis to assess and respond to market demands of the rig.

(f) Oversee specific marketing and business development activities to expand market reach and enhance competitive positioning.

(g) Review and analyse market trends and regulatory developments affecting offshore rigs, particularly in Vietnam and Southeast Asia and report the relevant findings to Board of Directors and makes recommendations on future development of new and existing market sectors. Achieve or exceed targeted revenues, cash targets, profit and utilization. Oversee the budgeting process to reflect company targets.

(h) Evaluate and monitor performance against budgets and recommend appropriate actions for implementation.

(i) Ensure that robust risk management processes are in place and risks are effectively managed, particularly in respect of finance and operation areas.

(j) Promote business initiatives in term of human resource, technical performance, schedule, and profitability.

(k) Maintain effective programs in areas of Health-Safety-Environment (HSE), sustainability, ethics and security.

(l) Oversee recruitment and monitor staff’s performances and maintain employee commitment to the Company by promoting suitable compensation and benefit schemes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Potential candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

(a) Bachelor's Degree or higher in either Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economic, Business Administration and/or Law.

(b) At least fifteen (15) years working in the oil and gas drillingindustry, including substantial experience in management or leadership capacity.

(c) Well-versed with regulatory requirements and industrial standards for offshore drilling operation.

(d) Thorough understanding of oil and gas drilling business, specifically for Southeast Asian markets.

(e) Comprehensive knowledge of corporate business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).

(f) Strong analytical ability, problem-solving and decision-making skills, complemented by excellent communication skills.

(g) Outstanding organizational and leadership skills and ability to contribute to Board level discussion.

(h) Good command of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Project), and Maximo.

(i) Proficiency in English and good command in Vietnamese.  A high level of proficiency in spoken and written Vietnamese is required for regular business communication with the Company’s Vietnam-based parent company, including its management and relevant operational, technical and corporate functions.
