Managing Director/ CEO

Our client is a fast-growing Fintech specializing in trade finance. We are seeking a seasoned Managing Director to lead regional operations, drive client engagement, and expand market presence across Asia-Pacific including Australia. This role is pivotal in shaping strategic growth and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and beyond.

• Key Responsibilities Strategic leadership: Define and execute regional growth strategies, aligning with global objectives.
• Client engagement: Build and deepen relationships with PRC, Hong Kong and Australian corporates, financial institutions, and ecosystem partners.
• Business development: Drive origination of trade finance deals, partnerships, and new product adoption.
• Operational oversight: Lead teams in Singapore or Australia, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and delivery excellence.
• Market positioning: Represent the firm at industry forums, regulatory discussions, and with senior stakeholders.
• Cross-border collaboration: Work closely with global leadership to integrate APAC strategies into broader organizational goals.
• Requirements Proven fintech experience: Track record in trade finance, digital platforms, or financial technology.
• Regional expertise: Demonstrated success working with PRC and Hong Kong clients; Australian clients a plus.
• Language skills: Fluency in English required; Chinese (Mandarin) strongly preferred.
• Leadership capability: Experience managing senior teams and driving results in complex, high-stakes environments.
• Mobility: Willingness to be stationed in Singapore or Australia (final location to be discussed).
• Stakeholder credibility: Ability to engage regulators, investors, and corporate leaders with authority and trust.
