M&E Coordinator

JOB SCOPE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and coordinate all M&E related activities on-site, ensuring the integration and alignment of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation systems with the project's overall objectives and schedule.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the quality and timely installation, testing, and commissioning (T&C) of M&E systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory standards for all M&E installations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for M&E activities, including work plans, inspection reports, and T&C documentation, ensuring proper handover of M&E systems.
• Report progress, identify issues, and propose solutions in regular updates to the M&E Manager and Project Manager.
• Ensure that all M&E activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Act as the primary on-site contact for M&E related queries and support, participating in project meetings and coordinating M&E specific tasks with stakeholders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in coordinating M&E activities, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Good knowledge of M&E systems, including Instrumentation, Control, and Automation, with familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
• Good knowledge of relevant building services code of practices and Authorities requirement.
• Familiar with the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for construction.
• Proficency in project management and scheduling software, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Able to work in a team environment.
