Job Description:
- Oversee and strategize the manufacturing process sequence, starting from raw material reception to the shipment of finished parts.
- Innovate new processes through solid modeling and develop or revise work instructions in alignment with engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Create designs for toolings, fixtures, and gauges.
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP); execute pre-production pilot runs and conduct training sessions for team members.
- Offer technical assistance to Production to meet technical and quality standards.
- Coordinate with OEMs regarding product specifications, process validations, and technological advancements.
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives via the Barnes Enterprise system.
- Assist in Request for Quote (RFQ) proposal development and process enhancement.
- Undertake various engineering tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in precision engineering, aerospace component manufacturing, or mass production. Proficiency in CAD software, with preference for Siemens NX Unigraphics.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining and programming using CAD/CAM software.
- Strong understanding of tool and fixture design.
- Ability to interpret and analyze customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards effectively.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of IoT sensors/gateways, hardware testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with specialized processes such as heat treatment, welding, and non-conventional machining.
