* Supporting the safe navigation and operational readiness of assigned vessels.
* Monitoring cargo operations, including loading, discharge, tank preparation and cargo changeovers.
* Providing marine expertise during dry docking projects, working alongside technical colleagues throughout planning and execution.
* Coordinating and supporting external inspections, including vetting, port state control, flag state and terminal inspections.
* Conducting vessel visits, internal audits and management inspections, identifying improvement opportunities and following up on corrective actions.
* Reviewing operational reports, incident investigations, near misses and safety observations to promote continuous improvement.
* Liaising with classification societies, flag administrations, charterers, terminals and other industry stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Overseeing marine repairs and ensuring operational risks are effectively managed.
* Delivering training, coaching and mentoring for shipboard officers.
* Assessing onboard safety culture through drills, exercises and vessel visits.
* Supporting officer performance reviews, promotions and recruitment activities.
* Participating in incident investigations and implementing lessons learned across the fleet.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across ship and shore teams.
* A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach to work.
* Confidence working with digital systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Willingness to travel internationally at short notice and participate in an on-call support rotation.
