Key Accountabilities:
Oversee the technical management of assigned tanker vessels, ensuring safeand reliable operations in line with company SMS, class, flag, statutory andindustry requirements.
Monitor vessel condition, planned maintenance, defects, performance andoperational reports; follow up with shipboard teams to close technical mattersin a timely manner.
Provide day-to-day technical support to Masters, Chief Engineers andvessel teams, including troubleshooting, repairs and coordination with OEMs /third-party service providers. Provide operational and commercial guidance toMasters, including voyage orders, port limitations, navigation risks, andsecurity threats.
Monitor, coordinate and attend to vessels for CDI/SIRE/PSC inspections,statutory surveys, related matters and follow-up
Manage relationships with owners and charterers; address operationalinquiries and complaints when required.
Monitor navigational and cargo operations to ensure compliance withinternational regulations and company standards.
Assist with identifying discrepancies in operational standards and adviseon navigational and cargo equipment performance.
Ensure vessels maintain statutory certifications and compliance withClass, Flag State, and Port State requirements.
Identify and mitigate operational and security risks.
Act as Company Security Officer and support Masters during vetting,audits, and inspections; prepare responses and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and submit reports and statistics on vessel performance incollaboration with relevant teams.
Handle cargo claims and liaise with P&I/Insurance on commercialdisputes when required.
Conduct appraisals and training for sea staff during ship visits; identifytraining needs and arrange briefings.
Requirements:
Educationand Qualifications:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or equivalent;Master Mariner
WorkExperience:
Minimum 5 years sailing experience as Master on Chemical tankers

Knowledge of quality, environmental, and safety standards and relatedlegislation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in customer management and understanding of regional maritimemarket conditions.
Good people management skills.
