Marine Superintendent (Engineer)

Job Description:

1. The Vessel Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient & environmentally sound operation of the vessels assigned to him.

2. To ensure vessel/s comply with all relevant rules & regulations with special emphasis on the ISM code, the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 as well as flag state, port state and the industry's special requirements and regulations, and render support to ships as appropriate.

3. Support on matters related to technical operations to the vessel and consult Makers/ Manufacturers for efficient operation of Machinery.

4. Support to his assigned vessels in preparing for Internal/ External Audits and PSC inspections.

5. Visit the vessel at least two times in a year-and sail at least once and prepare vessel condition report and staff performance appraisal and report to Management.

6. Participate in evaluation of Shipboard Management Systems Review.

7. Prepare yearly budget, based on the condition and repairs due for the vessels, keeping required standard and safe running of vessel; and obtain approval from owner.

8. Prepare dry-docking specifications and budgets for submission to Owners.

9. Monitor and manage vessel within owner approved budget.

10. Monitor Welfare of staff onboard.

11. Be a strong team member and be committed to support the team.

Job Requirements:

1.      Sailing experience as Chief Engineer for at least 4 years, preferably on PCTC vessel.

2.       Experience on handling LNG dual fuel vessels.

3.       Good understanding of new regulations.

4.       Good Understanding of decarbonization and future fuels.
