Job Description - Market Data Sales Director(market data/trading technology)

About the job

My client is a Global Financial Institute, their Market Data business is seeking aSales Director to drive revenue growth in APAC by selling market data toinstitutional clients, brokers, hedge funds, fintech firms, and other financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Drive Market Data sales across APAC to deliver revenue growth
  2. Target new market entrants as primary expansion opportunities
  3. Exceed sales targets for your assigned territory
  4. Build and manage a healthy pipeline; prospect and advance multiple deals concurrently
  5. Develop senior-level relationships with exchanges, banks, asset managers, and data vendors
  6. Accelerate growth through strategic partnerships and channel development
  7. Advise on APAC pricing strategy,product roadmap , and go-to-market plans
  8. Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  9. Monitor industry trends, competitors, and regulations tospot opportunities and risks
  10. Represent the company at conferences and client events to build brand presence and generate leads
  11. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity

What We're Looking For:

  1. Bachelor's degree required
  2. 12+ years of relevant experience
  3. Proven success in B2B consultative sales withinfinancial markets (market data/trading technology preferred)
  4. Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  5. Established senior network across APAC market data and trading communities
  6. Strong understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and APAC regulations
  7. Deep knowledge ofmarket data licensing, redistribution agreements , and usage-based pricing
  8. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  9. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and customer-focused mindset
  10. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  11. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
  12. Previous experience at adata/software vendor, exchange, or trading firm preferred
