Job Description - Marketing Manager, Travel Retail APAC



Our client, a Global Leader in the Luxury Industry, is looking to hire a Marketing Manager Travel Retail APAC for one of its flagship brand (skin care, fragrances and make up categories).







Based in Singapore, this position will be responsible to define and implement the marketing strategy of the 3 categories: Make-Up, Skincare & Fragrances including Travel Retail (TR) exclusives to develop the business in the TR APAC region. He/she will also be leading a Product Marketing team of 3 direct reports to drive team synergy, collaboration and efficiency in line with business objectives & priorities.











Define relevant and adapted Marketing Plan for the Region, in line with their business priorities



  • Adapt the marketing plan of each category to their market needs Challenge & influence the central marketing teams at the beginning of projects to be perfectly adapted to their needs

  • Set up clear priorities & communicate them clearly to the field team for perfect implementation

  • Ensure the right assortments per category, identify all new TR exclusives opportunities including operators’ exclusives

  • Adapt & adjust the plan according to specific local needs

  • Seek for any new tactical opportunities to develop their business Define clear strategy for LCP/Premium Fragrances line in their region and any new business model in the future



Work closely with the Trade / VM Team to build strong 360 plan adapted to their market need



  • Coordinate the 360 to propose stronger orchestration by markets

  • Influence HQ to always get all the needed & adapted Trade, in-store tools

  • Define monthly Instore com & VM recommendation for the 3 axes

  • Manage & Challenge the POSM New & Basic menu together with the VM team for perfect VM adaptation & execution 







Build strategic collaboration with the key players, Central, Regional and Local



  • Be the voice of TR Asia with the central category team to better leverage the initiatives in our region

  • Work closely with all departments in the region (training, architecture, commercial…) to leverage the marketing plan

  • Develop marketing collaboration with key Asian local markets



Manage the communication flow of the TR APAC Marketing Plan to the dedicated audience



  • Prepare all the needed documents to be shared with the field teams

  • Lead the marketing part of the GTM, BC Seminar and all regional meetings

  • Drive the operator’s presentations including preparation with the commercial teams

  • Define the best process & flows of communication to the field, monthly Marketing call, weekly newsletter







Manage the Marketing Category budget exercises and forecasts accuracy



  • Build the marketing BNP for the 3 budget exercises per year, work closely with regional finance & commercial team

  • Be responsible of aligning SI with forecast

  • Work on all novelties potentials and communicate appropriately with category & forecasts teams

  • Work closely with forecasts & supply teams to ensure alignment with business objectives per category



Responsible of monitoring and analysing the different sales panels



  • Monitor the monthly SO results of TR APAC

  • Coordinate the launches feedback with the other departments

  • Analyze & share key Insights of Local market panels, especially China

  • Manage the analysis of Data Generation for our region

  • Report on best practices, trends and activities within the Asian market TR or local market



People Management / Development



  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing team (2 direct reports + 1 Asst Product Manager + Trainee(s)) to deliver efficient marketing strategy adapted to our needs

  • Manage the talent development, training path, visibility, mobility of the team if any

  • Build strong collaboration between the team to push maximum synergy







Who you are



  • At least Degree certification

  • Experienced profile with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience

  • Experience within the Beauty industry will be advantage

  • Good market knowledge; inquisitive & curious about the market and trends

  • Creative and innovative

  • Strong team player with effective interpersonal skills & communication skills

  • Strong leadership/people management skill

  • Proficient in both English & Mandarin language

  • Strong analytical & time management

  • Self-motivated & independent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
