Mechanical Engineer

Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Mechanical Engineer:

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out systematically, efficiently, and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Enhance existing preventive maintenance systems to reduce costs and improve equipment performance.
• Create, update, and maintain SOPs, ISO documentation, and regulatory equipment registrations.
• Lead and coordinate modifications, additions, or replacements in the system through the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Assist the department manager and supervisor in overseeing daily operations and activities.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical systems and equipment malfunctions.
• Work closely with the operations team to execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance programs for optimal equipment performance.
• Provide training for technicians and staff on equipment maintenance and oversee the implementation of 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
• Assist in identifying faults and proposing action plans for system or process improvements.
• Participate in new projects, handle document preparation, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and manage related administrative tasks.
• Monitor and maintain spare parts and tools for mechanical and electrical instruments.
• Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations within the section.
• Oversee the proper documentation and record-keeping of maintenance activities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Facilities Maintenance Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in mechanical maintenance, preferably in large-scale industrial settings such as manufacturing, mining, or waste management.
• Expertise in mechanical systems design, installation, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in CAD software, CMMS software, and other engineering design tools
• Basic hands-on experience in mechanical equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  
• Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with pump alignment and health monitoring inspection.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Ability to work independently and manage contractors and technicians.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

• Salary: Up to SGD 4,100 + AWS + VB (1 Month) + Joining Bonus + Quarterly Incentive
• Working Location: Tuas Crescent
• Working Hours: 5.5 Work Days, Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm), Alternate Sat (8am to 12pm)
• Company transport/Transport Allowance provided
