Medical Technologist (Laboratory Information System - LIS) - Urgent Role

As a Medical Technologist (Lab Information System), you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide administrative, technical management and support to the operation of the laboratory information system (LIS)
• Provide assistance to all lab staffs for the troubleshooting of the LIS and other lab information systems
• Work closely with the HOD and other team member on the testing and auditing of the system.
• Work closely with other vendors in troubleshooting and validating of the system
• Coordinate the duration of procedures and supervise the downtime recovery
• Identify the functional capability of the softwares and applications, source of errors and investigate the cases of malfunctions
• Assist in tender specifications, budgeting, evaluation and procurement of the LIS and other softwares and hardwares
• Orientate and conduct trainings on the use of the system
• Adhere to the organization and laboratory guidelines and policies, all safety and infection control policies
• Assists supervisor in giving instruction and supervision of attachment students, junior staffs and new staffs
• Assist in maintaining and updating of quality manuals
• Other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Requirements:

• Recognized Degree in Bioinformatics, Medical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Life Science, Biology, Molecular Biology, Virology and other life science related.
• At least  2 to 6 years of working experience as Medical Technologist in Molecular Diagnostic Lab
• Experienced in operating Labware system, will be preferred
• Must have good knowledge in lab workflow and processes
