Merchandising Associate

Objective

Responsible to assist the Merchandising Manager to ensure business objectives and merchandising support administrative functions . You are responsible to support the Merchandising team to ensure the right product, in the right place, time, quantity and price.

Key Responsibiliteis:

1. Vendor/ Supplier management support - Build strong relationships with category-specific vendors/ suppliers assigned.
2. Generate periodic Sales Reports and analyse consumer buying patterns, market trends, sales report, store growth and ranking reports.
3. Regularly monitor stock ordering status and inventory level.
4. Update retail pricing and planogram. Ensure that pricing is correct and send to the relevant department (Operations / VM department).
5. Prepare and process purchase orders.
6. Review product pricing and profit margins, sales report and sales analysis.
7. Maintain effective communication with suppliers and various departments.
8. Inventory management support - review aging/ slow moving products.
9. Update promotion list and communicate to Operations/VM department as and when there are changes.
10. Prepare presentations and reports for management meeting.
11. Submit damage goods report to supplier for claims.
12. Support the Merchandising team in negotiations with brands on promotions and other issues.
13. Schedule meetings with vendors to address business needs.
14. Maintain suppliers' information, terms and conditions.
15. Performs other related or ad hoc tasks as instructed by immediate superior.

•       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
•       Prior experience in merchandising or retail buying will be advantage but not mandatory as training will be provided.
•       Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret sales data using MS Excel.
•       Excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
