MES Engineer - AVEVA PI - Singapore

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Aveva PI Specialist to lead the deployment, administration, and optimization of Aveva PI (OSIsoft PI) historian systems within pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have 6–12 years of experience in pharma/life sciences, with strong expertise in PI system integration, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives

Key Responsibilities

• System Administration & Deployment
  • Install, configure, and maintain Aveva PI historian systems across manufacturing sites.
  • Manage PI Interfaces, Connectors, and integration with MES, DeltaV, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Develop and maintain PI AF (Asset Framework) models, PI Vision dashboards, and PI DataLink reports.
• Data Integration & Automation
  • Implement data integration solutions between PI and automation platforms (OPC-UA/DA, PI to PI, PI RDBMS).
  • Automate system tasks using PowerShell, C#, or Python scripting.
  • Ensure seamless OT/IT connectivity for Pharma 4.0 initiatives.
• Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, FDA, EMA, and MHRA regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain audit readiness and data integrity standards for PI systems.
  • Support CSV/validation and SDLC practices for manufacturing data systems.
• Digital Transformation
  • Drive predictive analytics, process optimization, and Pharma 4.0 adoption using Aveva PI.
  • Lead migration projects from legacy historians (Aspen IP.21, Honeywell PHD) to Aveva PI.
  • Collaborate with IT/OT teams to enable real-time data-driven decision-making.
• Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
  • Partner with MES, Automation, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to align PI outputs with business needs.
  • Provide technical mentorship and training to junior engineers.
  • Engage stakeholders to define requirements and ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• 6–12 years of experience in pharma/life sciences manufacturing with hands-on Aveva PI expertise.
• Proven skills in Aveva PI Historian, PI AF, PI Vision, PI DataLink, Interfaces, and Connectors.
• Strong knowledge of MES, DeltaV, PLC/DCS integration with PI.
• Experience in multi-site historian deployments and migrations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
