Metals Engineer (Metallurgist)

• Lead the research, development, and implementation of metal alloys, additives, and industrial processing solutions.
  
• Plan and manage R&D projects from concept through pilot trials, scale-up, and commercialization.
  
• Develop project plans, testing protocols, and timelines while ensuring quality, budget, and project objectives are achieved.
  
• Design and oversee laboratory experiments, analyse results, and support laboratory operations.
  
• Coordinate laboratory and industrial trials, maintain technical documentation, and prepare project reports.
  
• Collaborate with metallurgical laboratories, subcontractors, and external partners on alloy development, testing, and validation.
  
• Manage proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, customer demonstrations, and technical knowledge databases.
  
• Supervise and mentor junior researchers and support project execution.
  
• Oversee project administration, including budgets, procurement, expense reporting, and project tracking.
  
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and provide technical support during implementation.
  

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 5 years of industrial R&D experience in metal processing, alloy development, refining, melting, casting, or related metallurgical applications.
  
• Strong expertise in alloy development, process optimization, and scaling laboratory research to industrial production.
  
• Solid knowledge of metallurgical processes, material characterization, and manufacturing practices.
  
• Excellent technical writing, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
