Middle Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Daily physicals and derivatives trading P&L validation, analysis, and monitoring pricing exposures
• Daily derivatives reconciliation between clearing accounts and in-house trading system
• Daily settlement prices update and construction of forward curves
• Month end costs verification with operations and P&L reconciliation with accounting
• Occasional coverage for European trading hours from home
• Close liaison with Risk manager on in-house system developments
• Provide ad-hoc support and analysis to traders, conducting research on market structure, price movements, cargo movements as needed.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Risk manager/team

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance
• Minimum 2 years work experience, in the energy commodity trading firms or banks as middle office/product control
• Strong analytical ability, team player, meticulous, and good communicate on skills
• Pro-active and able to take initiative to pre-empt problems and complete tasks
• English written and oral skills, ability to speak Mandarin an advantage
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and possess good knowledge of Excel VBA macros preferred
