Mining Geologist (M&A & Technical Advisory)

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of technical geology and mining investment. You will support the company's overseas mining acquisition activities — from conducting technical evaluations and due diligence to liaising with project stakeholders and preparing reports for cross-border transactions. You will work closely with the business development and investment teams to provide sound geological judgment in support of mineral rights acquisition and M&A decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Evaluation & Feasibility: Support geological assessments, technical studies, and feasibility analyses of overseas mining projects.
• M&A & Mineral Rights Support: Assist in data collection, technical due diligence, and acquisition of overseas mineral rights.
• External Stakeholder Interface: Act as a key liaison with overseas project owners and mineral rights holders.
• Commercial Negotiation Support: Participate in technical discussions to ensure alignment with company strategy and standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, documents, presentations, and translate materials for cross-border communication.
• Site Visits & Field Work: Travel for overseas site visits and field investigations as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Geosciences, or a related field (Master’s/PhD preferred)
• Strong understanding of mineral exploration and resource evaluation
• Practical field experience (sampling, logging,surveying) preferred
• Interest in international mining markets and mineral rights acquisition
• Willingness to travel and work in mine-site environments
