Our client is one of renowned insurance company in Singapore, seeking an experience motor underwriter to join their dynamic team. As an Underwriting Manager, you'll oversee the underwriting process for both new and renewal motor business, focusing on moderate technical complexities within established underwriting standards and delegated authority levels.
Job responsibilities:
- Adhering to business and underwriting plans for growth, driving profitable growth in the Motor portfolio
- Review and prepare underwriting/renewal information
- Ensure that acceptable pricing and terms are determined within own underwriting authority and underwriting guidelines, on new business and renewals.
- Contribute ideas for the revision of policy coverage and terms to meet customers' needs.
- Assist in credit control with follow up on outstanding premiums
- Providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to colleagues to address technical referrals and raise standards and expertise across the technical underwriting community.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of Motor Underwriting experience in Singapore
- Wide range of knowledge regarding the various types of vehicles, associated risks and related insurance products.
- Understanding of risk assessment, laws, and legislation in relation to the Motor insurance industry
- Attention to details and excellent analytical skills.
