Job Summary

Lead the design and optimization of global, high-performance network infrastructure, delivering ultra-low-latency connectivity, resilient architecture and scalable solutions supporting sophisticated trading and research platforms across international financial markets.

What You'll Do:

Take ownership of the design, development and ongoing optimization of a sophisticated global network infrastructure supporting high-frequency trading and advanced data research environments. You’ll combine technical leadership with strategic project management, ensuring exceptional network performance, reliability and availability across international markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Lead the architecture, design and deployment of global enterprise network infrastructure.
2. Manage complex routing, switching and network configurations across geographically distributed environments.
3. Drive network capacity planning, performance optimization and infrastructure upgrades.
4. Oversee Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, including OSPF, BGP and multicast technologies.
5. Troubleshoot complex networking challenges across LAN, WAN and market data distribution systems.
6. Evaluate networking hardware, connectivity solutions, fibre optics and transmission technologies.
7. Collaborate with Systems and Trading Operations teams to enhance infrastructure performance.
8. Implement monitoring, automation and configuration management solutions to improve operational efficiency.
9. Manage infrastructure projects from initial design through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

About You:

1. 5–10 years of experience in network engineering, ideally within high-frequency trading or low-latency environments.
2. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
3. Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing protocols and multicast technologies.
4. Hands-on experience managing Arista, Cisco and enterprise networking equipment.
5. Proven expertise in network architecture, capacity planning and infrastructure project management.
6. Proficiency with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
7. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, firewalls, VPNs and network security.
8. Knowledge of fibre optics, microwave connectivity and optical transmission systems.
9. Exposure to Python, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and public cloud networking is advantageous.
10. Excellent troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive hands-on approach.
