Network Tech Support Engineer (Junior Engineer)

Responsibilities:
As a Junior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch support, configuration, and troubleshooting of network systems, ensuring optimal performance and security for our client's IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Configuration and Installation:
  • Set up and configure network devices such as:
    • Layer 2 & Layer 3 Network Switches, Wireless LAN Controller, iMaster NCE-Campus, and NCE-Campus Insight (Huawei).
    • Network Performance Monitor, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, and Network Configuration Manager (Solarwinds).
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
    • Network Access Control (Ivanti).
• Operations and Administration:
  • Perform routine operations and administration tasks to ensure seamless network performance.
• Maintenance and Technical Support:
  • Provide maintenance services and technical support with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Conduct network monitoring and generate detailed reports on network performance.
• Configuration Management and Change Control:
  • Manage configuration updates and ensure changes are controlled and documented.
• Root-Cause Analysis:
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, conducting thorough root-cause analysis.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of all network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
• Cable Patching and Management:
  • Handle cable patching and management processes in the data center.
• Cybersecurity and Monitoring Knowledge:
  • Demonstrate expertise in EDR, network monitoring, management, and cybersecurity products.

Requirements:

• Education and Experience:
  • Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in network engineering roles.
  • Must-have: Experience in Huawei Network Switch configuration.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in configuring Huawei network devices and network monitoring tools (Solarwinds).
  • Familiarity with SIEM and network access control solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Working Hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
• May require weekend work once a year (8:30 am to 6:00 pm).
