The Role
As our Founding Senior Recruiter in Jakarta, you will be the cornerstone of Base Camp’s operational expansion into Indonesia. Based in Jakarta and working directly with our regional leadership team in Singapore, you will lead end-to-end recruitment initiatives, build high-performing talent pipelines, and serve as our key recruiter on the ground.
This is a high-impact, 360° role combining strategic talent sourcing, candidate/contractor management, and hands-on client engagement to drive our full suite of recruitment, contracting, remote workforce, and payroll solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Augmentation & Contracting Sourcing
Proactively source, screen, and headhunt niche technical talent (Software Engineers, Cloud/DevOps, SAP/ERP Consultants, Data Engineers, IT Support) for both permanent and contract/subcontracting positions.
Build and maintain an agile pool of pre-vetted contractors and remote technical workers across Jakarta and major Indonesian tech hubs ready for rapid project deployment.
Manage the full contractor lifecycle, from rate negotiation and contract onboarding to roll-offs and extensions.
2. Remote Workforce & Payroll Solutioning
Work closely with enterprise clients looking to set up or expand tech teams in Indonesia, serving as a trusted advisor on Jakarta/Indonesian tech compensation benchmarks, talent availability, and work setups.
Coordinate contractor onboarding, payroll execution, and administrative compliance in partnership with our regional operations team.
3. Business Growth & Account Management
Serve as a key operational and commercial point of contact for regional clients hiring or augmenting teams in Indonesia.
Identify new business opportunities across MNCs, regional tech enterprises, and startups in Jakarta looking for contract staffing, project delivery support, or payroll solutions.
Advise clients on regional workforce strategies, engagement models (direct contract, subcontracting, EOR), and compensation structures.
4. Indonesian Hub Building
Act as our founding recruitment presence in Jakarta, establishing local sourcing channels, talent communities, and standard operating procedures.
Partner with our Singapore headquarters to align recruitment workflows, delivery standards, and key account management across APAC.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 4 to 8+ years of 360° recruitment, staffing agency, or talent acquisition experience in Jakarta / Indonesia—with direct exposure to IT contract staffing, staff augmentation, or IT services.
Domain Knowledge: Solid grasp of modern technology stacks, enterprise software, cloud/infrastructure, or digital transformation roles.
Contract & Payroll Awareness: Familiarity with contract staffing models, subcontracting engagements, daily/monthly contractor rate structures, and basic local payroll/employment administration in Indonesia.
Local Market Sourcing: Deep familiarization with the local Jakarta tech ecosystem, universities, candidate pools, and hiring networks.
Language Skills: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken) for daily cross-border communication with Singapore HQ, regional clients, and local candidates.
Mindset: Entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality. High autonomy, comfortable operating as the first team member on the ground to grow a business hub.
