Job Description

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Unix and Linux systems across production and DR environments.


• Perform system upgrades, patching, hardening, and performance tuning.


• Monitor system health, capacity, backups, and security compliance.


• Execute disaster recovery planning, testing, and failover activities.


• Provide L2/L3 incident support and manage problem resolution.


• Support projects, changes, and maintain system documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, with 8+ years of Unix/Linux administration experience.


• Strong experience with Solaris and Linux production systems.


• Hands-on experience in OS hardening, patching, and enterprise backups.


• Proficient in Unix/Linux scripting for automation.


• Familiarity with SAN, data centre, or cloud environments is an advantage.


• Able to support 24/7 rostered operations and after-hours changes.
