Officer (Chemical)

Our client, a well-known Japanese trading company is currently looking for a Chemical Officer. You will be expected to process the whole transaction operation from contract issuing to complete delivery, payment, and collection under moderate supervision with team members and internal stakeholders to drive seamless and effective operations to customers to deliver desired results.

Reports to: Department General Manager
【What will you be working on】
- Issue contract sheet to Customer. Promptly, prepare, monitor, and verify shipping documents from Suppliers and send shipping instructions for materials for shipment. Send a copy of a full set of shipping documents. File and keep all documents properly.
- Arrange payments to suppliers on time and monitor receivable payments from customers., to check the balance limit from clients too. Balance in terms of percentage. Escalate potential issues in the department promptly. File and keep all documents properly.
- Handle internal systems (SAP, NFS etc) and record all the transaction data. Timely input monthly closing entries into the internal accounting system and providing shipping documents to the accounting department. File and keep all documents properly.
- Follow the instructions to communicate with customers/suppliers/shipping companies etc. to provide required documents in a strictly timely fashion by reminding involved parties in verbal and written means.

【What they're looking for】
(Must)
- Diploma/Degree holder
- At least 3 years of chemical bulk logistics experience (from the trading company as well)
- Experience in chemical products
- Has Letters of Credit experience is required
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
(Preference)
- Experience using SAP preferred
- Good knowledge of intercoms (FOB, CFR, CIF etc.)
- Good knowledge of Uniform Customs, and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600), and Uniform Rules for Collections (URC 522).
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
