Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing Operations: Coordinate and monitor all aspects of shipping operations by liaising with various stakeholders, including agents, vessel masters, bunker suppliers, ocean route companies, vessel brokers, and insurers, to ensure the smooth execution of shipments.

2. Operational Optimization: Focus on optimizing operations to maximize profits and minimize losses and costs, adding value to the business.

3. Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for different counterparties involved in the shipping operations. Assist the Chartering Desk in verifying and checking the information requested.

4. Financial Aspects: Calculate the costs related to shipping, such as freight/hire, laytime, demurrage, and despatch. Collaborate with the finance department to review and verify payment documents.

5. Technical Issue Resolution: Coordinate with the management department to address and resolve technical issues related to the ships.

6. Additional Duties: Be prepared to take on any other duties and tasks as assigned, which is common in dynamic shipping and logistics environments.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ of relevant working experience.
• Reliable track record in shipping industry.
