Operations Analyst - Corporate Actions

Our client a leading financial services firm is looking to hire an Operations Analyst who will play a key role in ensuring transactional and operational data integrity, validating trade lifecycle processes, and contributing to successful testing and implementation outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support project workstreams through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Model Office, and Pilot testing activities

• Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design test scenarios and test scripts covering critical operational workflows, including trade lifecycle events, reconciliations, reporting, and data processes

• Perform data validation and reconciliation on migration datasets, independently investigating, validating, and explaining discrepancies

• Conduct data analysis, cleansing, and standardisation to ensure consistency, completeness, and operational readiness

• Gather, analyse, and validate business and operational requirements using structured and disciplined methodologies

• Perform gap analysis and impact assessments across processes, systems, and data flows

• Develop future-state business process maps and support the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure clarity of requirements and solution alignment

• Maintain accurate and structured documentation using industry-standard notations and techniques

• Support ad hoc analytical and operational activities across project and operational workstreams

• Degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of operations experience within the asset management industry

• Strong understanding of middle office functions and end-to-end trade lifecycle processes, including exposure to asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Money Markets, and Fund Orders

• Experience supporting project-driven initiatives, particularly UAT and operational change activities

• Experience working with investment, operations, or accounting platforms (Aladdin experience is advantageous but not mandatory)

• Proven capability in data analysis, reconciliation, and exception investigation

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Programming exposure (R / Python) is beneficial but not required
