About Our Client
Our client is an established global top tier quantitative trading firm that trades across a wide range of asset class. They are currently expanding their footprint in the crypto space and is looking for an Operations Associate to support their trading activities and ensure seamless execution for their crypto trading business and other traditional asset classes.
Job Description
As an Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the firm's trading processes-primarily focusing on their Crypto business-while also contributing to operations across traditional asset classes.
Support daily trading operations across global markets, with an emphasis on crypto.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of operational tasks, including account maintenance, collateral and position management, and coin book-keeping on crypto exchanges.
Perform daily affirmation and reconciliation of positions and cash activity to minimize operational risk and maximize straight-through processing.
Monitor and report daily P&L figures to senior management across various markets.
Investigate and resolve queries from trading desks, counterparties, and internal teams.
Build and maintain business intelligence reports related to operational performance.
Collaborate with trading, support, and technology teams to address daily operational issues.
Document and maintain operational procedures and workflows.
Continuously assess and improve existing processes for efficiency and accuracy.
The Successful Applicant
To succeed in this role, you should ideally possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; CFA is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in capital markets or crypto operations.
Experienced in end to end trade lifecycle management relating to crypto products.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface across trading and software development teams.
A self-starter mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit and eagerness to learn.
Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and conditional statements.
Experience using workflow management tools such as JIRA.
Familiarity with crypto markets and financial instruments is highly desirable.
