Optical Design Engineer

Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Optical Design Engineer:

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop optical systems for photoelectric sensors, including lenses, apertures, and filters, in accordance with performance and tolerance requirements.
• Use optical design software (e.g., ZEMAX, Optical Studio) to model, simulate, and optimize sensor optics.
• Develop detailed optical test plans, conduct verification tests, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with electronics engineers to define suitable light sources and detectors, and with mechanical engineers on housing and alignment.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects involving new product development, customization, and product lifecycle support such as failure analysis, obsolescence management, and resolution of customer feedback.
• Coordinate with overseas R&D or headquarters teams for technical support and technology transfers.

Job Requirements:

• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Optoelectronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in optical design and product development.
• Proficient in optical design software such as ZEMAX or equivalent.
• Knowledge of photonic principles and optical sensor technology is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Information:

• Salary: Up to SGD 8,500 + AWS +VB
• Working Location: Tuas Cresent
• Working Hours: 5 Days Work, Monday - Friday (8.30am - 6.15pm)
