Partnership & Sponsorship Manager (50%, Remote)

World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is one of the world's largest robotics competitions for young people. Every year, more than 175,000 students from over 100 countries take part in WRO events, guided by a global network of National Organizers and culminating in the annual WRO International Final. The WRO Association is the independent non-profit organization behind the competition – we invest all revenue from partnerships, membership and events back into promoting robotics and STEM education worldwide.

As we continue to grow, we are expanding our international team and hiring for several roles, all starting on 1 January 2027. This is a chance to help shape a global education program from the inside, working remotely with a motivated, international team.

We are looking for a part-time Partnership & Sponsorship Manager (50%) to nurture our existing partnerships and help us build new ones – so that we can invest even more into robotics education worldwide. This role is advertised at 50%, but for the right person we are open to more hours – up to a full-time position.

Tasks

Existing partnerships

• Manage day-to-day relationships with WRO sponsors and partners in coordination with the Secretary General.
• Ensure agreed partnership benefits and activations are delivered.
• Coordinate sponsor activations beyond standard partnership packages.
• Maintain an overview of partnership deliverables, timelines and renewals.

International events

• Work with our WRO team and event hosts to coordinate sponsor presence at International Finals and Open Championships.
• Coordinate practical requirements including guest registration, exhibition space and workshops.

New partnerships

• Research and identify potential new partners: sponsors, foundations and university partners.
• Work proactively to contact potential new partners.
• Support the Secretary General in developing proposals and partnership packages.
• Maintain the sponsorship CRM and manage the pipeline of prospective partners.

Requirements

• Experience in partnerships, sponsorship, business development, fundraising or account management.
• A track record of managing partner or sponsor relationships and delivering on agreed benefits and activations.
• Comfortable with outreach: you enjoy proactively approaching and winning new partners.
• Well organized, with experience using a CRM and keeping a pipeline, deliverables, timelines and renewals on track.
• Strong, persuasive written and spoken English (our working language).
• Interest in the non-profit, education or STEM space.
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a fully remote team.

Working hours

This is a part-time role: 20 hours per week (50%). We work remotely across time zones and ask for at least 4 hours of daily overlap with 07:00–16:00 UTC+0.
