Duties & Responsibilities As a Payroll and Billing Officer, you will play a crucial role in efficiently managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with established standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Payroll Computation: Execute and verify gross and net pay computations, including salary, overtime, shift payments, tax withholdings, and deductions, to ensure accuracy.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain payroll-specific records to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Reconciliation and Data Verification: Perform reconciliations of payroll records, verify data accuracy, and administer related administrative tasks.
- Legislation Compliance: Monitor and manage compliance with payroll-related legislation, staying updated with legal requirements.
- Standardization: Establish and maintain standards and procedures for the effective management and administration of payroll, billing, and related transactions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with corporate partners, such as the Shared Services Centre, to optimize service center operations and transactional processes.
- HRIS Initiatives: Assist in User Acceptance Testing for HR Information System (HRIS) initiatives, contributing to best practices in HR systems.
- Employee Support: Manage and respond to salary inquiries from employees, providing them with accurate and timely information.
Skills & Experience - Preferably holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Administration, preferably with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Payroll Management.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Employment Act and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations, ensuring compliance in payroll practices.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (especially Microsoft Excel) and HR Information Systems (HRIS) software, such as SAP, for effective data management and reporting.
- Exhibit a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Possess the ability to learn quickly, multitask effectively, and collaborate seamlessly within a team.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with individuals at various organizational levels.
