Planning Engineer (Semicon)

The Opportunity:

Our client is a leading Hong Kong multinational corporation, specializing in the semiconductor industry, particularly for the wire bonding equipment business unit. We are currently seeking a Planning Engineer to be responsible for supporting end-to-end contract manufacturing planning, forecasting, and optimization of capacity including strategic commitments for delivery and inventory targets. The incumbent will also be expected to implement policies and develop procedures to effectively manage contract manufacturers.

• Basic up to $5,000 + AWS + Variable Bonuses

The Job:

Supplier Relationship Management

• Liaising with contract manufacturers for resources coordination and ensure completion of new operation procedures and workflows regarding supply chain planning

Contract Negotiations

• Negotiating contract terms with vendors for long term partnership and ensure business needs are delivered.

Capacity/Production Planning

• Collaborate with S&OP teams and CMs to improve production schedules to meet inventory, lead-time, and delivery requirements.

Performance Management

• Ensure that KPIs are met and oversee delivery performance of CMs. Review and take corrective actions when necessary (compliance, inventory management etc.)

Continuous Improvement

• Conduct data analysis (production costs, delivery lead-time, inventory and forecasting).

Business Planning

• Take part in annual business planning process, and provide monthly projection and actual spendings.

The Talent:

• Min. Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management or any related fields.
• Experience in OEM/Contract Manufacturer will be highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin to support vendors from China.
• Min. 6 years of relevant experiences in manufacturing planning.
