Postdoctoral Associate (Crystallization Science and Particle Engineering)

Responsibilities

The Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position in the area of crystallization science and particle engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to work on the design and engineering of advanced microparticle-based pharmaceutical drug products comprising matrices containing crystalline or amorphous drug particles, made using microfluidic methods. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with a consortium of pharmaceutical companies (GSK, Merck and Pfizer). He/she will be reporting to Prof. Patrick S. Doyle (MIT, SMART) and Prof Saif A. Khan (NUS, SMART) and work with their team of researchers and collaborators.

Requirements

-PhD degree in Chemical/Materials Engineering

-Background in crystallization science, microfluidics, materials characterization and drug product formulation/delivery.

-Supervisory experience in junior researchers in all aspects of research.
