Presales Engineer

Key Objective and Responsibilities:

• As Presales Engineer, the incumbent will strive as a key member in the Sales & Marketing Dept to generate new business for either solutions or large project equipment sales.
• Support the manager in performing market studies to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical components to assist CTO in preparation of design work and optimization of mechanical systems for projects like Battery Charging Swap Station (BCSS), including battery handling, charging, and swapping equipment.
• Specify, select, and procure mechanical components and machinery required for battery handling, charging, and swapping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and project managers to plan, design, and execute mechanical aspects of Solution Projects such as BCSS.
• Create and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Ensure that all mechanical designs and modifications adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for personnel and equipment.
• Conduct quality control inspections and testing of mechanical systems and equipment to maintain high operational standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues and faults as they arise.
• Provide mechanical engineering expertise in project planning and execution.
• Able to handle electrical faults and hydraulic faults.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree – preferably in mechanical, EEE and related engineering background.
• Sound technical knowledge, with 1-2 years hands on experience dealing with capital equipment, such as Excavator, Cranes, Material handling or port handling related equipment, is a pre-requisite.
• Candidates who possess knowledge of Battery Charging Swap Station and/or Electrical House related are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for mechanical design.
• Takes initiative and drives solution while applying excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Possess valid Class 3 driving licence. Candidates with personal vehicle will have an advantage.
