Job Description & Requirements

Main Purpose of the Job:

This role will provide sustainability services for a broad range for public and private sector clients. This is a diverse role with many potential opportunities to technically support clients on their sustainability journey.  The role will support growth and delivery of the Sustainability & Business Advisory Services.

You will play a key role in the successful delivery of major multidisciplinary development projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring the environmental, health & safety performance and delivering impact assessments for a diverse range of projects including large scale multi-disciplinary and infrastructure projects as well as M&A transactions for both private and public clients.  We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience on these projects and ability to lead business development; primarily: 

  • Bring new thinking (based on own subject matter expertise) to the client that will enable the client to transform their organization in response to the market needs and drivers.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior management members and clients.
  • Develop the AIS business and the Business Advisory Communities of Practice, Service Capabilities and Value Propositions.
  • Leads and delivers complex and multi-stream projects/programmes. Achieves and sets project objectives and stretch objectives.
  • An Associate Director's role is to demonstrate the ability to:
  1. Generate high margin and consulting sales through collaborative working with Team Leads that creates additional revenue for core services and/or other service lines.
  2. Lead exceptional client outcomes through service excellence across multiple, complex Business Advisory and Non-Business Advisory capability areas.
  3. Bring thought leadership based on their own subject matter expertise to the business and clients. Has the ability to turn new ideas into reality.
  4. Leads Community / Non-project initiatives that positively impact Business Advisory's ability to retain and attract top talents.

Job Description (Key Responsibilities):

  • Lead the delivery of projects ensuring client satisfaction, effective project management and good communication and collaboration between colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of new propositions that meet the needs of clients or open up new service and sector specific opportunities.
  • Ability to identify and land sales opportunities with new and existing clients including the development of business cases, and preparation of high-quality winning bids.
  • Providing environmental, social and governance advisory services including supporting clients in establishing sustainability strategies, goals and roadmaps, transition strategies and sustainability reporting. 
  • Competently undertake your own work to an excellent standard and review the work of others.
  • A natural team player and leader, developing positive relationships with clients, committed to sharing knowledge, coaching, mentoring to help colleagues achieve their career ambitions, and comfortable with social media & networking to raise our  profile.
  • Flexible in attitude, willing to go that extra mile and able to travel occasionally internationally to deliver quality work to our clients, where required.

Job Requirements & Person Specification (Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Behaviours)

Essential:

  • Substantial knowledge of / experience in working on a range of projects in the sustainability field including:
    1. Sustainability reporting and familiar with the various reporting frameworks
    2. GHG Reporting and Carbon Management including carbon credit market
    3. Net Zero Carbon Strategies and associated Science Based Targets
    4. Renewable Technologies and Energy Services
    5. Energy and sustainability programs and projects
    6. Environmental & social impact assessments in accordance with international applicable standards and developing action plans.
  • Strong technical knowledge with good commercial acumen.
  • Experience in business development, from pursuit to development of business cases and project delivery. 
  • Experienced across a range of project types. 
  • Practical working knowledge of planning systems and consenting processes in Singapore and/or other Asia countries.
  • Strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills with proven experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure quality.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary co-ordination of projects, with good project management and technical skills, demonstrated professionalism in the creation and delivery of reports and presentations.
  • Ability to effectively work / communicate with both internal (including GISI Group of Companies) and external clients.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good communicator and writing skills.
  • Organized, self-driven, positive attitude with entrepreneurship mindset.
  • Readiness to take on new tasks to support the needs of the client or other team members.

Desirable:

  • Certified Energy Manager / Green Building Professional designation (GMAP, LEED AP, WELL AP, etc.)
  • Certified in design thinking or strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data analytics including visual presentations.
  • Knowledge on EHS management and climate risk assessment.
  1. Good knowledge and experience of energy management services.
  2. Work experience in other Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
  • Conversant in other Asian languages.
