 – Principal/Young Investigator positions

Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (TLL) is seeking independent group leaders who will develop innovative and internationally competitive research programs within a highly supportive core-funded institute. All areas of life sciences research will be considered. Individuals employing multidisciplinary approaches, developing new and unconventional model systems, and interested in bridging basic and applied sciences are especially encouraged to apply.

Areas of interest include but are not limited to:

• Microbiome composition and function in animal model systems


• Metabolic engineering and synthetic biology in plant and microbial systems


• Prokaryotic and fungal systems with applications for industrial microbiology


• Enzyme engineering.

Established in 2002, TLL undertakes bio-molecular science research and applications to benefit people in Asia and beyond. TLL strives to develop its people and provide opportunities for them to be leaders in their own fields by challenging them to achieve breakthrough discoveries and impactful applications.

TLL is affiliated to the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). It is located within the NUS campus and is situated alongside other research institutes and academic departments of the university. In addition, TLL enjoys close interactions with other research institutes on the nearby NUS.
