Private Banker / Relationship Manager

Company Overview

The client is an independent wealth management and advisory platform serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The firm provides tailored wealth solutions across investment advisory, portfolio management, asset allocation, and long-term client relationship management.

Role Overview

The client is looking for an experienced Private Banker / Relationship Manager to develop and manage relationships with HNW and UHNW clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a sustainable client portfolio, understanding clients’ financial objectives, and delivering bespoke wealth management solutions in partnership with internal and external product specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build, develop, and manage relationships with HNW / UHNW clients, family offices, entrepreneurs, and professional investors.
  2. Grow assets under management through new client acquisition, referrals, and deepening existing relationships.
  3. Understand clients’ wealth objectives, risk appetite, liquidity needs, and investment preferences.
  4. Provide tailored investment and wealth management solutions across public markets, funds, structured products, alternatives, credit, and other relevant asset classes.
  5. Work closely with investment, product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure high-quality client service and execution.
  6. Maintain strong knowledge of global financial markets, macro trends, and investment products.
  7. Ensure all client onboarding, KYC, suitability, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and in line with regulatory standards.
  8. Monitor client portfolios and proactively identify opportunities, risks, and portfolio adjustments.
  9. Represent the firm professionally in client meetings, networking events, and market-facing activities.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a Private Banker, Relationship Manager, Wealth Manager, or Investment Advisor.
  2. Existing network of HNW / UHNW clients, family offices, entrepreneurs, or accredited investors is highly preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of wealth management products, investment advisory, portfolio construction, and financial markets.
  4. Track record in client acquisition, AUM growth, and revenue generation.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  6. Commercially driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in an independent / boutique platform environment.
  7. Strong sense of integrity, discretion, and client confidentiality.
  8. Relevant MAS regulatory certifications / CMFAS qualifications are preferred.
