Job Scope

Within Asia Operations, the Securities team is responsible for processing and managing the risk relating to securities & derivatives settlements, securities transfers, corporate action (income, cash) and asset creation and maintenance. 

The incumbent will be part of this exciting function and is responsible for:

• The processing and controls of the processes within the Securities Transfers function.
• Ensuring efficiency and productivity in delivery quality services to bank’s clients.
• Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.
• Successful applicant will be assigned to the securities transfers team, responsible for the processing of asset transfers for our clients.  Understanding of the core system and process workflow are essential.
• There is an expectation that he/she understands the relevant market markets and demonstrate knowledge of different types of asset transfers.
• Proactively manages and resolves discrepancies relating to the functions he/she performed with internal (reconciliations) and external (custodians/counterparties/clients) teams.
• Works closely with colleagues locally and abroad
• Participates to Bank’s Operations projects
• Proactive drives and implements process enhancement and improvements
• Ensures training of new colleagues, where required
  
  Requirements
   
• Bachelor degree, and / or professional qualification in Banking / Finance
• Preferably with 1-2 years of banking transactions with asset transfers. Experience in Private Banking is a plus.
• Familiar with financial products as well as the market infrastructures, regulations and operational risks related to the transfer of these products. Knowledgeable about SWIFT messages types.
• Good knowledge and practice of Office suite. Excel VBA macro knowledge is a plus.
