Job Description - Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager at Omni HR is tasked with an immense responsibility that affects all aspects of our organisation's operation. The primary role is to manage and supervise the purchasing process and team, ensuring that our company continues to have the necessary resources and supplies to operate efficiently and continue to grow. This strategic role involves liaising with stakeholders, building relations with suppliers, renegotiating new contracts, and helping in the company's efforts to drive down costs and increase profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Devise and use effective procurement strategies
    • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with the terms of contracts
    • Negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective orders
    • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
    • Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
    • Manage workflow from initiation to completion (of both purchased orders and deliveries)
    • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
    • Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role
    • Experience in collecting data, compiling and analyzing trends, and using software for procurement
    • Strong leadership capabilities including team management and business acumen
    • Proficiency in spoken and written English
    • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
    • A firm grasp of negotiation and networking
    • Outstanding decision making skills and ability to work well with a team
