Production assistant/machine operator

Job Summary

You will work closely with the Operations Manager to perform production activities at various stages, provide technical assistance to ensure efficient operations, and enforce company policies and procedures within the office.

Responsibilities

• Perform production tasks such as cutting, grinding, and handling raw materials to meet production targets and quality standards
• Test and quality check finished products to ensure compliance with company standards before stocking
• Assist with stock taking to maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory management
• Conduct first-level troubleshooting of equipment to identify mechanical or material issues and report findings to the Operations Manager
• Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness regularly to comply with safety and environmental regulations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting practical solutions within production workflows
• Comply with company attendance and punctuality standards to ensure reliable operations
• Collaborate effectively with team members and management to coordinate tasks and maintain smooth production operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven work experience as a Machine Operator with knowledge of relevant terminology
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant working experience
• Completion of GCE ‘N’ Level or equivalent education
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and manage communication effectively
• Positive and proactive work attitude with strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy
• Problem-solving skills to work independently with minimal supervision
• Discretion, integrity, and reliability in handling sensitive and confidential information
• Multitasking skills to manage multiple deadlines and challenges simultaneously
• Resourcefulness to anticipate challenges and use available resources to find effective solutions
• Team player who works effectively across organizational levels, including senior leadership and staff

Work Location: west area
Working hours - 5.5days - 8.30am to 6 pm - sat halfday .
