Production Coordinator / Project Coordinator (Steel Fabrication)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Production Coordinator / Project Coordinator to oversee steel fabrication projects from order confirmation through to final delivery. The role involves working closely with customers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements, production schedules, materials, and deliveries are coordinated efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate steel fabrication projects from order confirmation to completion, ensuring project requirements, drawings, production schedules, and deliveries are executed on time.

• Liaise with customers, Sales, and Production teams to facilitate smooth project execution and effective communication.

• Review customer specifications and engineering drawings, clarifying technical requirements before production begins.

• Arrange site measurements, delivery schedules, and installation activities where required.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and coordinate timely resolutions with relevant stakeholders.

• Provide regular project updates and progress reports to management and customers.

• Support overall production planning and ensure projects are delivered according to quality and timeline expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication, steel fabrication, or a related mechanical engineering industry.

• Strong knowledge of stainless steel fabrication is essential.

• Basic understanding of mechanical design, fabrication processes, and production workflows.

• Experience with on-site measurement and preparation of fabrication sketches.

• Able to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.

• Experience in high-tech manufacturing or cleanroom industries (e.g., Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical) will be an advantage.

• Relevant experience in steel fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, precision engineering, production coordination, or project coordination is preferred.
