Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
Coordinate closely with Customer Service, Production, R&D, Warehouse, and external plating subcontractors to ensure smooth production flow.
Plan and schedule production activities to optimise machine capacity and manpower utilisation.
Coordinate workloads between in-house operations and subcontractors to meet delivery commitments.
Order Management & Monitoring
Generate and prepare weekly open orders reports for operations meetings.
Issue work orders and closely monitor production progress.
Work proactively with production teams to resolve potential delays and ensure on-time delivery performance.
Track and report outstanding work orders and ensure proper closure upon completion.
Inventory & Material Planning
Ensure timely issuance of raw materials to support production requirements.
Coordinate with the Purchasing team on material requirements arising from new customer orders.
Monitor and maintain agreed inventory and safety stock levels to support operational continuity.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to address production planning issues and schedule changes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide operational support and backup coverage during colleagues' extended leave periods.
Perform ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
GCE "O" Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC, Professional Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Materials Planning, Inventory Control, or Manufacturing Operations.
Experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment will be advantageous.
Good understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, and order fulfilment processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to adjust working hours occasionally to support urgent operational requirements and critical deadlines.
Experience communicating with regional suppliers or subcontractors will be an advantage.
