Project Director (Data Centre Construction)

Our client is a leading EPC player within the mission-critical infrastructure sector, delivering large-scale data centre developments across the region. Due to expanding project commitments, they are seeking an experienced Project Director to drive end-to-end delivery of complex hyperscale data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
• Provide strategic oversight across project planning, procurement, construction methodology, scheduling, cost control, contract administration, quality, and safety management.
• Drive project execution strategies, construction sequencing, resource planning, and risk mitigation to ensure delivery excellence.
• Manage tendering processes, commercial negotiations, and consultant/contractor engagement to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality benchmarks, and mission-critical operational standards.
• Champion innovation, construction technologies, and best practices to improve productivity and project performance.
• Provide senior management with strategic updates on project risks, commercial matters, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices within mission-critical environments.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, including senior leadership roles within large-scale projects.
• Proven track record delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, or high-availability infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience managing the full project lifecycle, including design management, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client handover.
• Demonstrated experience managing high-value fast-track projects with strict cost, programme, quality, and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, commercial, and contract management capabilities.
• Experience within Design & Build or EPC environments will be highly advantageous.

• Location: Central
• Working days: Depending on Project
• Salary: Up to S$15, 000 + VB (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
