Project Manager - Construction

Our client is an established firm in the construction industry. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee the execution of construction projects from start to completion
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved schedule
• Lead and supervise site teams to ensure efficient and smooth project execution
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on project matters
• Prepare and manage project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation
• Review and approve material requisitions and ensure timely procurement
• Monitor project quality and ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards
• Implement project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting systems
• Ensure workplace safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to WSH regulations
• Resolve project issues promptly and provide regular updates to management
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities assigned by management

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil or building construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, project scheduling, and site management
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities
• Familiar with local construction regulations and workplace safety requirements
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera) is an advantage
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin to liaise with English- and Mandarin-speaking clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
