Join the laboratory of Associate Professor Lei Lu at the SBS. We are seeking a Project Officer to contribute to a research project focused on secretory transport within the Golgi apparatus, a subcellular organelle responsible for proteins transport and modification in eukaryotic cells.

Our lab investigates the molecular mechanisms of membrane trafficking at the Golgi, a challenging and exciting area of cell biology. We have developed innovative imaging approaches to study protein dynamics within Golgi cisternae, enabling quantitative analysis of intracellular transport processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Culture and maintenance of mammalian cells

• Microscopic imaging of cells (confocal and wide-field microscopy)

• Image data analysis using multiple software tools

• Construction of DNA expression plasmids

• Manage and organize and lab

Job Requirements

• Bachelor qualification degree in biological sciences

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Proficiency in cell culture, molecular cloning, and microscopic imaging (confocal and wide-field microscopy).

• Competent in Fiji or ImageJ and statistic software.

• Ability to work independently / meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
