QA/QC Manager, Papua New Guinea (Food & Beverage/ FMCG/ Agri)

Job Responsibilities:

• Directly responsible for QA/QC activities across two factories in Papua New Guinea, serving as the Countrywide QA/QC Leader.
• Develop and maintain accurate QC laboratory to support business operation.
• Implement Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and work towards attaining ISO 17025 certification for relevant parameters.
• Lead the implementation of Food Safety and Feed Safety systems, including HACCP, GMP, and internal audit processes.
• Collaborate with the business team to address quality issues and manage customer-related concerns.
• Develop QA/QC training materials to ensure the team has the necessary expertise nationwide.
• Build and optimize QA/QC resources across both factories to prevent operational disruptions and maintain a robust organizational talent pipeline.
• Participate actively in factory-wide initiatives as part of the leadership team.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the superior on an ad hoc basis.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, or Microbiology.
• 10 years of experience in Quality management, preferably within the Food Industry.
• Proven experience in regional or global roles, with interaction at the senior supply chain or business management levels.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing Food Safety Management Systems, such as FSSC 22000, BRC, or SQF
• Possess technical knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and QC laboratory operations management.
• Resilience and a consistent ability to drive cultural change.
• Duty Station: Papua New Guinea (PNG). Factory orientation will be conducted in Indonesia or Malaysia for a duration of 1 to 3 months.
