Quality Control Assistant (F&B), Singapore

As a Quality Control Assistant, you will play an important supporting role to the QC team on routine testing and activities include physical, chemical, sensory and other analysis. You will also assist in customers complaints, retention samples and internal rejections. Furthermore, you will work closely with cross functional departments including Production and Warehouse, Purchasing and Technical (Creation / Sample Order Management) to validate incoming samples, raw materials, pre-shipment samples and reference samples in accordance to standard requirements and comply to regulations and policies. 
 

The Position: 

• Receive samples and initiate routine activities such as sample preparation for sensory, collecting reference samples from retention, et cetera.  
• Responsible for teams’ retention sample management and routine administrative tasks as defined. 
• Assist in basic routine physical, chemical, sensory and other analysis when required. 
• Assist in additional QC activities such as sensory triangle preparation
• Support QC team on tasks related to customer complaints and internal rejections
• Assist in data entry and documentation process (SAP System) wherever necessary
• Follow quality control practices and good laboratory practice while ensuring policies, processes, procedures and controls, performance and quality is upheld and complied. 
• Strictly comply to Company’s Safety policies and practices. 
• Support other QC teams in need and other additional tasks when assigned.  
   

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum Diploma in Science field or equivalent
• At least 1 year of working experience in Flavor & Fragrance or relevant laboratory 
• Basic knowledge in sensory is an added advantage 
• Basic knowledge in production process and flavor & fragrance chemical properties
• Knowledge in laboratory safety and GLP is mandatory
• Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Office 
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English 
• A strong team player, independent and self-driven 
• Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner
• Ability to adapt to changes and build constructive and effective relationships with others 
• Determination, perseverance and positivity 
• Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task with accuracy and precision
