Tremont Technologies Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Quantitative Data Scientist to support the company's consulting and technologyadvisory work for cross-border clients. The role will focus on risk analytics,statistical modelling, and data-driven system analysis for trading andoperational risk-control use cases. The position is a technical delivery roleand does not involve discretionary trading, portfolio management, or clientfund handling.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will design andvalidate statistical models, analytics workflows, and reporting logic that helpclients assess market conditions, monitor abnormal trading behaviour, andimprove risk-control system requirements. The work will support consultingengagements covering market analysis, operational optimisation, technologyadvisory, system design, implementation support, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

·      Developstatistical modelling approaches for time-series data, market risk indicators,transaction patterns, volatility monitoring, and anomaly detection.

·      Translateclient business and risk-control requirements into data specifications, modelassumptions, validation criteria, and analytics documentation.

·      Buildprototype analytics in Python, R, SQL, or equivalent tools to supportbacktesting, stress testing, scenario analysis, and model validation.

·      Design riskdashboards and reporting logic for monitoring exposure, concentration,liquidity, abnormal activity, and model performance.

·      Preparetechnical consulting reports that explain modelling methodology, limitations,assumptions, validation results, and recommended implementation steps.

·      Work withproject stakeholders to support system design and implementation monitoringwithout making investment, trading, or regulated financial advisory decisions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

·      Doctoral ormaster's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Financial Engineering, AppliedMathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a closely related quantitativefield.

·      Strongfoundation in statistical inference, regression, stochastic processes,time-series modelling, machine learning, model validation, and experimentaldesign.

·      Ability towork with structured and semi-structured datasets and to communicate technicalfindings to business and technology stakeholders.

·      Hands-onprogramming experience in Python, R, SQL, or comparable data analysisenvironments.

·      Experiencefrom research projects, internships, or applied consulting work involvingquantitative modelling, risk analytics, financial data, or decision-supportsystems.

·      Strongwritten communication skills for producing client-facing methodology notes,project reports, and implementation documentation.

Selection Criteria
