The company is an underground utility and service detection and mapping company, supporting safe and efficient earthworks by providing various services. Our focus is on construction and earthwork projects by helping teams identify underground utilities early, reducing the risk of service strikes and improving site coordination for work to proceed safely and smoothly.
Role Overview We are looking to hire for a Quantity Surveyor, to support project costing, quotations, measurement, and cost control across our utility detection, trial trenching, and related permit/consultation works. You will work closely with operations and management to ensure accurate pricing and healthy project margins.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions for utility detection, GPR scanning, trial trenching, and related works.
Conduct take-offs / measurement for project scope, variations, and progress claims.
Source and compare supplier/subcontractor pricing; manage RFQs and cost checks.
Track project costs (labour, equipment, transport, reinstatement, subcontractors) and monitor budget vs actuals.
Prepare and evaluate variation orders (VOs), claims, and supporting documents.
Assist with monthly cost reports, project summaries, and margin tracking
Support contract administration matters (basic) and liaise with clients/subcontractors on commercial items.
Maintain proper filing of quotations, claims, invoices, and project cost documentation.
Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant QS experience (construction/civil/MEP/earthworks preferred)
Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering or related field
Comfortable working with numbers and documentation; strong attention to detail
Proficient in Excel (and QS software familiarity is a plus)
Able to communicate clearly with internal ops teams, suppliers, and clients
Knowledge of local construction practices and basic contract/VO workflows is an advantage
