The R&D Lab Technician is responsible for supporting laboratory operations through equipment qualification, method transfer, analytical testing, and laboratory start-up activities. The role collaborates with Lab Scientists, Engineers, and cross-functional teams to establish and scale laboratory capabilities that enable R&D development, new product introduction, and qualification testing activities.

This position reports to the R&D Supervisor and is part of the Global R&D organization located in Singapore.  This is an onsite role. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support laboratories start‑up and readiness activities, including equipment installation, hook‑up, commissioning, qualification, and method transfer for new and existing analytical tools.

• Collaborate closely with Lab Scientists and Engineers to set up, qualify, troubleshoot, and sustain laboratory and testing equipment in support of R&D and new product launch activities.

• Execute analytical, functional, and performance testing to support R&D development, product characterization, and qualification requirements, ensuring timely sample turnaround and high data integrity,

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Diploma in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a lab environment

• Experience working in an analytical or testing laboratory environment is particularly in R&D or product development settings including operation of ICP‑MS, GC‑MS, Non-volatile residue testing and ion chromatography.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Familiarity with hazardous material handling, and regulatory requirements for storage, transport, and disposal.
