We are looking for a Receiving Officer to join our team!
Job Summary:
Responsible for checking all goods received to ensure that they meet the prescribed quantity and quality set by the various user departments.
Ensures and controls the food safety hazards (Biological, Chemical and Physical) from receiving of food items are minimized.
Key Areas:
Receiving Control
- Ensure all food received are verified and checked before deliver to Outlets.
- Ensures that all goods received are supported by Purchase Order (for non-food) or Market List / Purchase Requisitions (for food and beverage items)
- Ensures that all goods received meet the Purchase departments
- Dates and time-stamps all invoices / delivery orders
- Raises Request for credit note for goods rejected
- Verifies and matches food and beverage delivery orders with invoices
Training
- Ensure new staff on the job training
- Attends scheduled trainings
- Participates actively in company-initiated employee activities
Communication
- Keep Cost Controller inform of the receiving issues.
- Highlights achievements, problems and challenges
Quality Control
- Ascertains the efficient receipt of all goods
- Efficiently rotating of stocks to avoid spoilage
Administration
- Prepares daily receiving report
- Files purchase orders (for non-food), Market List and Purchase Requisitions (for food and beverage items)
- Prepares outstanding purchasing order report for non-arrival of goods
Health Safety and Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness at Receiving Office and areas.
- To ensure the Store Rooms and Goods comply with SFSMS / HACCP Standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in performing store functions for a large company, preferably a hotel
- Minimum ‘O’ Level
- Honest
- Has integrity
