We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development cum Project Manager to identify growth opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen our presence in the Greater China market.
This role requires a strong understanding of the media landscape, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth across the Chinese Media Group's business portfolio, including paid content subscriptions, advertising, sponsorships, and key international events and strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate should possess an extensive network in the Greater China Region and Southeast Asia Region, and have a proven ability to develop new business opportunities while successfully managing strategic projects from conception to execution.
Identify, evaluate and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth and expand the company's presence in the Greater China market.
Serve as the primary point of contact for business partners, advertisers and key stakeholders, managing strategic partnerships, sponsorships and collaborations with corporate clients, government agencies, media organisations and industry partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders across first-tier cities in China and other key markets.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs and new growth opportunities.
Develop compelling business proposals, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage contract discussions with partners and clients.
Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events and business forums to enhance brand visibility and cultivate new business opportunities.
Lead and manage strategic business projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Work closely with Editorial, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal and Operations teams to ensure successful project implementation and alignment with business objectives.
Develop project plans, timelines, milestones and performance metrics, while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
Drive continuous process improvements to enhance project delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
Act as the key liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare business reports, presentations and strategic recommendations to support management decision-making.
Degree in Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline that focus on achieving quantitative goals.
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in business development, strategic partnerships, project management or account management, preferably within the professional industries such as media, advertising or consulting
Demonstrated track record in identifying business opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements and delivering measurable business growth.
Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across diverse business and cultural environments.
Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken), as the role supports Chinese media products and requires frequent engagement with stakeholders across the Greater China market.
Highly self-motivated, resourceful and able to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Willingness to travel within Singapore, China and other regional markets as required.
