Job Description - Regional Director Singapore

JOB DESCRIPTION: REGIONALDIRECTOR SINGAPORE

Reports to: UK Directors

Working conditions: Office-based (work from home Friday’s)

Hours: 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm

Travel requirements: Minimum, 90% office, 10% travel

High-Level Role Overview:

As Regional Director at Precise Consultants' Singapore office, your primary mission involves being a key driver in establishing our presence, building ahigh-achieving team, and ensuring the prosperous expansion of our business in this promising but relatively untapped market. This role, characterised by its challenges and rewards, demands a strategic leader who possesses an intimate understanding of the local business landscape and a proven history of successfully growing operations in new regions.

Your responsibilities encompass leading the entire business in Singapore and holding ultimate accountability for all aspects of people management. You will be expected to contribute substantially to formulating the business's strategic plan and direction, with direct responsibility for its execution. This execution includes achieving revenue and headcount targets, managing costs, and sustaining profitable growth. Your duties extend to expanding our company's existing business by identifying and thoroughly researching new business prospects, both in new and existing markets, among new and existing customers. This role necessitates a dynamic and results-oriented individual who can adeptly navigate the complexities associated with entering a new market while staying true to the core values and commitment to success upheld by the parent company. The Regional Director will be instrumental in shaping the future of our business in this new country, making substantial contributions to its long-term viability and expansion. Your core responsibilities include:

1.      Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring a team of recruiters, ensuring they are motivated, well-trained, and aligned with the organisation's goals

2.      Business Development: Identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the client base, foster client relationships, and secure new accounts to drive revenue growth

3.      Strategic Planning: Developing and executing a recruitment strategy tailored to the region's unique needs and market conditions, aligning with overall corporate objectives and market dynamics

4.      Performance Metrics: Setting and monitoring recruitment KPIs to gauge the Team's efficiency, effectiveness, and contribution to organisational success

5.      Client Engagement: Building and maintaining solid partnerships with clients, understanding their needs, delivering exceptional service, addressing customer concerns and feedback promptly and effectively and acting as a customer advocate within th eorganisation

6.      Market Analysis: Continuously assessing the local talent market, identifying trends, and providing insights to adapt recruitment strategies accordingly

7.      Compliance: Ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in recruitment processes, promoting fair and ethical practices and establishing risk management protocols to mitigate potential legal or operational issues

8.      Operational Excellence: Overseeing day-to-day operations to meet efficiency, compliance, and quality standards and implementing robust processes and workflows to streamline operations

9.      Brand Building and Reputation Management: Building and promoting the company's brand locally and protecting and enhancing the company's reputation through ethical business practices and community engagement

10.   Budget Management: Responsible for financial planning and resource allocation to meet regional targets while controlling costs

11.   Innovation: Exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance recruitment processes, efficiency, and candidate experience

12.   Reporting: Providing regular reports to senior management on regional recruitment performance, financials, challenges, and opportunities

Specific Job Spec:

A Regional Director oversees and drives the strategic and operational aspects of the recruitment function within a specific geographic area or region. Their core responsibilities encompass:

Recruitment/Account Management:

·        Generating personal revenue by placing suitable candidates with clients in your defined market

·        Leading from the front, having personal revenue targets at the most senior level

·        Working with the Team to lead and support Preferred Supplier Agreements and other key accounts

·        Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to all company clients

·        Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit

·        Managing placements, making decisions on fee splits, and generating revenue with the necessary support

·        Service multiple clients concurrently, often meeting deadlines

·        Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

·        Maximise service offerings through understanding customers' needs and matching them to the services available, utilising the skills and knowledge of colleagues where necessary

·        Managing the needs of customers and the sales process to completion, taking ownership of customers' sales issues to ensure they are resolved promptly

·        Adherence to internal administration and compliance process

·        Providing regular and accurate sales forecasts and updates on all imminent projects

·        Communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

·        Managing and developing relationships to ensure all candidates are informed, valued and engaged with current and future opportunities

·        Maintaining relationships with candidates registered on the database to ensure current and up-to-date information on availability, work status, and understanding of existing market trends

·        Initiating, managing, and developing candidate relationships

·        Delivering a consistent, transparent candidate experience from start to finish

·        Assisting the candidate through the recruitment cycle: from giving them all the information available on the job/client to keeping in touch after they have successfully completed the trip

·        Arranging travel, accommodation and other logistics required for personnel when on assignment

·        Researching, identifying and attracting new candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements

·        Fostering referrals and recommendations for the candidate pipeline 

·        Qualifying, shortlisting and presenting suitable candidates against defined job vacancies

·        Monitoring responses/applications received and make sure that candidate's applications are processed efficiently

Sales/Business Development:

·        Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, partnerships, new services, or new ways of reaching clients across the offshore sector

·        Developing and executing sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth

·        Establishing and nurturing relationships with local partners, suppliers, and distributors

·        Generating leads, contacting decision-makers, screening potential opportunities, selecting deals, and facilitating pitch logistics

·        Taking a lead role in developing new business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships

·        Overseeing growth projects with existing clients, including new business line additions and increased margins

·        Creating accurate sales forecasts and working towards reaching them

·        Setting business development goals for revenue growth and profit maximisation

·        Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle in collaboration with Account Managers,utilising their relationships, skills and knowledge

·        Identifying trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long term sales pipeline per targets

·        Creating client pipelines, generating leads and cold calling prospective customers

·        Fostering and developing relationships with new customers/clients. Gauging client needs accurately, developing proposals, and client-specific presentations

·        Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients

·        Accurately gauging client needs and developing proposals and client-specific presentation packs to address these needs

·        Developing quotes for prospective clients and negotiating contract terms with clients, representing Precise Consultants' best interests throughout the process

·        Supporting deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis and negotiating prices for proactive bids and proposals

·        Producing relevant example candidate packs for client-specific projects

·        Attending meetings with clients across the globe

·        Attend conferences and industry events as and when required to build relationships with clients, and industry partners and stay up to date with new trends

·        Meeting with customers/clients face to face or over the phone

·        Monitoring and evaluating industry trends and customer drivers and meeting regularly with managers and stakeholders to discuss strategy

·        Adhering to internal administration and compliance processes along with customer service SLAs (listed on the last page) as applicable to those in the sales department

Team Management/Leadership:

·        Collaborating with the Senior Management Team to develop business plans and budgets, covering revenue, headcount, and marketing. Your role includes overseeing the implementation of these plans and addressing any arising issues

·        Additionally, you will be responsible for setting and reviewing promotion targets and assisting with career planning for the local Team

o   Written plans will serve as our roadmap to achieve these objectives, subject to frequent and regular reviews. This includes conducting annual appraisal, planning, and review meetings with the local Team, encompassing salary assessments and promotion goals

·        Ensuring the completion of performance management reviews as needed, such as weekly or monthly one-on-one meetings with staff to assess Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) and Critical Success Factors (CSFs)

·        Holding regular meetings with the Directors, initially weekly, transitioning to a monthly schedule. During these meetings, provide comprehensive updates on revenue performance, comparing budgeted figures to actual results, and implementing any necessary remedial actions and training

·        Managing day-to-day personnel matters, including attendance, sickness, absence, and holidays, in accordance with company policies

·        Coordinating staff and resources to maintain service coverage, especially during peak activity periods and holidays

·        Deliver on-the-job training for all consultants to enhance their skills and knowledge

·        Identifying and attracting Potential Recruitment Candidates (PRC) locally to expand ourtalent pool

·        Effectively recruiting, onboarding, and training a skilled team of professionals across various functions, such as sales, marketing, and operations

·        Cultivating a team culture characterised by collaboration, innovation, and accountability

·        Providing strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to empower team members to excel in their respective roles. Effective leaders lead by example, demonstrating integrity, empathy, and decisiveness. Leaders empower their teams, encouraging creativity and initiative while providing support and mentorship. Communication is vital, as leaders must convey their vision, expectations, and feedback clearly and regularly

Corporate:

·        Contributing to quarterly Board Meetings. Review operational performance with a detailed narrative. Contribute to the strategic plan, direction, and decision-making, including evaluating new opportunities with business case and ROI documents

·        Oversight of:

o   Coordinating and participating in Business Development activities and events

o   Making sponsorship decisions within designated authority and through consultation

o   Contributing to training sessions, both internally and externally

o   Pursuing professional development related to the recruitment industry or your specialised market, such as Finance and Accountancy

o   Engagement in and leadership of Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives

o   Involvement in ad hoc projects and other assigned duties as necessary

Administrative:

·        Accounts: Managing Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Purchase Ledger, and generating monthly management accounts and related reports

·        HR: Handling day-to-day HR administration tasks, such as payroll, vacation requests, and sickness records

·        Training and L&D: Supervising all Training and Learning & Development activities

·        Employee Relations: Addressing disciplinary matters, performance management, and resolving disputes as needed

·        Marketing: Responsible for brand management, marketing strategies, social media, advertising (including job sites and CV boards), and public relations

·        IT: Overseeing IT operations, including outsourced IT support, CRM systems, and related technologies.

·        Recruitment: Managing internal talent acquisition efforts and identifying Potential Recruitment Candidates (PRCs)

·        Supplier Management: Maintaining supplier relationships and conducting negotiations within the delegated authority

·        Supervision of:

o    Timely submission of weekly Work in Progress (WIP) and fee predictions

o    Ensuring accurate CRM data recording and maintenance, including monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Critical Success Factors (CSFs)
